Corruption Is Not Way Of Life, We don't have to live with it !!!

I used to ponder over a question, a question which every Indian thinks over but find it convenient to leave than to fight for…. A reality that stalks us day and night but eventually gets buried in the oblivion because of no hope left …!!!  Simpler to question, but never easy to answer - Corruption, Is there any end to this malice?

Someone had to stand up to answer, someone had to show the way, a ray of hope emerged when one man stood up for the task, Shri Anna Hazare. It took no time for movement to snowball and garner huge support from all quarters of life.

Why do you think, its getting so much support? Why people who after toiling hard during the day, make it a point to be part of a candle light vigil? Why a college goer instead of being at the next happening party is holding the candle and standing at Jantar Manter Delhi or Sector 17 Plaza Chandigarh? Why small school children along with their teachers are bearing the onslaught of summers yet standing with play cards in their hand and a resolve in their hearts? Social networking sites are abuzz, events are being created, bulk smses being sent…Why ?

For the one simple reason… It affects us and some point of time, we have been silent victim of this malice. They came, they ruled, and they plundered, but now no more.  Anna G might be fasting in Delhi but every nook and corner of this country is doing every bit for his support. Flimsy it may sound but this humble septuagenarian seems to be God sent in the times of utter chaos.

It was heartening to see how a well known politician from an opposition party was chased out of the set up by the people. It shows that we know their games and, We don’t want any of their types to come and gain cheap mileage out of this people’s movement, We don’t trust anyone of them, So better they keep out of this and Don’t test our patience, we are resilient, not by choice but by force.

Gone are the days when politicians were used be looked up to, today the word Politician is synonymous with corrupt, plunderer goon. These are the qualifications you require to be a politician, such is the sorry state of our country. People with criminal cases On, are made the head of the corruption case probing committees, Ask Mr. PM, well as usual he is never aware… Sometimes I wonder, Is he aware that he is so called Prime Minister of this country and subsequently owes some responsibility towards it?

Country of sages and God fearers is being played in the hands of greedy netas and money has been made God. This battle won’t be easy, road ahead is a bumpy one. Every citizen of this country will have a role to play. As Gandhi G always said “Be the change you want to see”, Country is not good or bad, it is its people who make or mar it, So we also owe a responsibility towards it, here are few things we need to remember and practice.

  1. Corruption is not way of life, Learn to say No.
  2.  Instill moral values in your children.
  3. Know that money might buy you everything materialistic but it still can never buy you Health, happiness and satisfaction.
  4. Needs are met, Wants are never. Learn to differentiate between the two.
  5. No one has seen you or caught you ? Don’t fool yourself…… God and your very own conscience were always watching over you, so think before you act.
  6. Be guilt free, Lead a simple yet fulfilling life.
  7. Be fearful of Almighty and you will never go wrong.
  8. No matter how rich you grow, you will still eat three course meal and not a chunk of gold.
  9. And lastly whatever you give, good or bad, It will come back to you, so beware.

Be the warriors of change, let’s vow today to make country corruption free

Jai Hind.
