Lotus Whiteglow Skin Whitening & Brightening Micro-Emulsion with SPF 25 | PA+++ Review

Despite a good three days off from work, it was unusually hectic last week. One product I have been yearning to review from quite a long time and now finally I am getting it to do so :).

Its Skin Whitening & Brightening Micro-Emulsion with SPF 25 | PA+++ from Lotus‘s latest Herbals White Glow range.

Before moving on to the product, lets check what actually a Micro – Emulsion is?

My Experience & My Say

Well its been one month since I have been regularly using this product day and night. Mine is combination skin and this formulation is completely non oily. Can’t say much about lightening and brightening claims, but it has certainly evened out my skin tone and has also dealt to some extent with the open pores issue.

Enhanced sun protection is another highlight of this product as it comes with not only SPF ( for UVB ) but also PA+++ which fights UVA rays that are cause of photo-aging and Triple "+" means greatest protection.

Ideally it should be worn under your daily moisturizer. Ones with dry skin certainly need moisturizer top on, even on combination skin I am using it with moisturizer, better still one can do a test beforehand, that which way it suits, alone or otherwise according to skin type, though results may vary from person to person.

Things which might bother

  1. This product contains parabens ( Methyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben ),  which hold no good reputation among the medical brigade ( reports are conflicting thou ).  These are widely used in cosmetics these days to increase shelf life.
  2. It is supposedly a Herbal Product, but close look at the ingredient list tells that it is majorly chemical based barring few constituents. This is big turn-off, Companies should provide what they claim instead of fooling consumer by playing such gimmicks.
Overall, this product has certainly delivered to an extent in my case, no brightening or lightening effects thou but yes an evened out tone definitely, But I genuinely wish that the company stops using chemicals especially when they are shrieking in top of their voice that it is a herbal product.
