The link in the mail http://technorati.com/account/ will take you to the accounts page and at the end of the page is Check Claim with a button next to it, Click that button and you will end up at Claim Status page

Now you are required to follow the following steps.

You need to write a blog post which includes your 12 digit Technorati claim token in the post body in the beginning, some what like I have done
After publishing post, come back to Claim Status page and click the "Verify Claim Token" button at the end of the page and Voila....You are done.

On the basis of this unique claim token in your blog post, Technorati checks that you are the original author of the blog applied for listing.
